TALAKAG - the etymology of which came from the Bisayan dialect LAKAG meaning "to go after” or
“follow in pursuit” and the prefix TA denoting “fondness in doing such”.
In other words, Talakag means “fondness in giving pursuit”.

Talbuks Cafe Is 3 Years Old

How time flies! Three years on and the struggle continues to provide news and information about “Life in Talakag Today”. Talbuks Cafe is definitely a labour of love.

I am pleased to report that this humble blog has been visited 7,000 times since it started. It has also been instrumental in reuniting (online) some old friends as well as making new friends too. Thank you to all visitors and followers. Your comments have inspired me to keep this blog going. Please drop by again soon!

    Thank you for visiting my blog.
    Yes the owner of the “alleged hot car stuff” mentioned in the news recently is indeed a neighbour but I do not wish to comment on the matter as this is a very delicate and sensitive issue that is best left to those concerned. However, those who know him personally are, of course, shocked and find the allegations hard to believe as we are talking here about a person whose family are well-known, prominent and hardworking as well as being very down to earth.
